Currie By Brenton

Currie by Brenton, www.curriebybrenton.com, now offers robotic palletizing solutions, continuing its over 100-year tradition of providing customers with durable, high performance solutions. New robotic capabilities expand Currie by Brenton’s product offering to a full range of standard and custom conventional, robotic, gantry and bulk palletizing solutions.

By offering both conventional and robotic palletizing products, the Currie line of palletizers meet virtually every automated palletizing challenge and bring customers an expanded selection of capabilities, flexibility, throughput, and investment value. Currie’s full line of automatic solutions meet packaging needs ranging from a low cost entry level machine to machines that can palletize at rates in excess of a 100 cases per minute. Currie offers the additional benefit of integrating any palletizer with a stretch wrapper and/or corner board placer for a complete end-of-line solution. Customers have the ability to select existing pack patterns or program new pack patterns on the HMI, eliminating the need to use a computer. Safety features include framed guard door package, CAT II safety circuits and muting light curtain that meet requirements for the most stringent safety programs.

Currie also recently acquired the MasterPal™ Full Layer Robotic End-of-Arm Tool patent and is now distributing the product throughout North and South America. The MasterPal™ provides high speed palletizing and depalletizing for trays, cases, bulk and bundles. Packagers have historically made quality or speed compromises due to limitations of vacuum pick and roller technology, but that’s no longer necessary with Currie by Brenton’s patented MasterPal™ technology which palletizes or depalletizes full layers at time, up to 500 lbs., at speeds up to six layers a minute. It provides consistent tight layer grids of palletized product through a unique “cradle and place” technology that combines a servo-operated rotary tool and slat system to gently handle full layers of product with each motion.

Currie is located in Alexandria, Minnesota in the Center of Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence. It is also the End-of-Line Business Unit Headquarters, www.EOLPackagingSolutions.com, and home to Brenton, www.brentonengineering.com, and & Orion, www.orionpackaging.com.

Currie is powered by Pro Mach, www.promachinc.com, a Cincinnati, Ohio based provider of integrated packaging products and solutions for food, beverage, household goods, pharmaceutical, and other diverse consumer and industrial companies. Through three business units and related divisions, Pro Mach provides equipment, training, installation, and parts in primary packaging, end-of-line packaging, and identification and tracking.

Training:
Whether purchasing a new machine or maintaining an existing machine, new machine operators will benefit from training. They learn to confidently operate the machine while increasing performance. Both informal and formal training packages are available. During an informal training, the Currie installation technician trains available personnel who operate or maintain the machine. A formal training package is customized to provide more extensive machine and operational detail for operator, mechanical, maintenance and/or electrical personnel.
Documentation:
Standard package includes 2 operators manuals, as well as CD version which includes: introduction and safety, system description, system operation, troubleshooting and alarm recovery, changeover, preventative maintenance, vendor documentation, electrical/pneumatic schematics, mechanical assemblies, and recommended spare parts list.
Other services:
In its Center of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence boasting > 200,000 total square feet Currie performs standard extensive in-house machine trials and performs a FAT to provide a fully proven system. All customers are assigned a project manager as their primary point of contact to give customers status reports and updated timelines during the course of the project.
