At just 37½ mm W, B&R's new X20 CPU is powerful, compact, and equipped in its standard design with a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet interface that can be used either as the online interface or for net-working.

A CAN and RS232 interface is integrated, as well. I/O modules connecting to the right side of the X20 are seamlessly attached to the CPU, saving space in the switching cabinet. Rail mechanics allow the system to be mounted on the rail like a rack and taken down easily. Extended CPU design may be used if separate interfaces become unnecessary. CPU is equipped with a 25 mm W slot for X20 interface modules.
