Aluminum cans are catching on

One notable trend in beverage packaging these days is the growing popularity of aluminum cans for craft beers.

With a strong sustainability message, good portability, distinct sizes, and striking branding, the aluminum can is firmly establishing itself in the craft brewer’s marketing strategy.

But other alcoholic beverages are also finding the aluminum can an elegant solution. Take Southwest Wines, for example. This Deming, NM, company recently launched its Soleil Mimosa in a proprietary specialty can from Ball  Corp. Southwest Wines took advantage of Ball’s proprietary Eyeris Enhanced Graphics technology to create premium, on-shelf differentiation and a 360-degree graphics solution for their popular mimosas.

I think they would use the can cause it makes better sense from a marketing idea. guess I never considered the packaging on my toner and ink boxes as a marketing tool. xerox

New, innovative sustainable alternatives have replaced century-old business practices in an effort to improve firms’ sustainable efforts. Major retail outlets have released environmental scorecards, leading consumer packaged goods companies (CPGs) to partner with packaging suppliers who are able to report on, and are committed to improving, their environmental stand.
