New paper/foil/polymer can debuts

Itsu iced tea in the UK has been launched in something called the Cartocan.
Print Reprint

Developed by Austrian dairy company Ennstal Milch, the Cartocan is described by as a seven-layer construction consisting of, from the outside in, PE/adhesive resin/foil/PE/carton board/metallized film/PE. Equipment developed by Ennstal Milch forms the body of a can and applies lid and base as well. Filling can be done aseptically for a 12-month shelf life. Tea, coffee, wine, milk mix drinks, and vitamin or wellness drinks are the targeted product categories.

The Cartocan is being positioned as an environmentally friendly alternative to aluminum cans or PET. Prominently positioned on the front top of the container is this message: itsu’s card•can (it’s not plastic!).

Kudos to your efforts in eliminating waste. Environmental issues are close to many people's hearts and that could include your customers. Nowadays, firms are expected to do their bit to help the environment or at least not contribute to the problem. One way to do this is by turning to reusable protective packaging. Than Nguyen
