Cold-fill ink

Videojet Systems Intl. (Wood Dale, IL) has released a new InkSource® ink, 16-8540. The black, ketone-based ink adheres to the neck area of cold-filled (36F) returnable glass bottles in the beverage industry.

The company claims the ink dries in 1 to 2 sec but can be removed with a standard 2% to 3% caustic wash.
