has grabbed 5 percent of Mexico's soft-drink trade, a market Snapdata International estimates at $6.5 billion, forcing Coke and PepsiCo Inc. to lower prices. A 3.3-liter container of Big Cola brand sells for as little as 86 cents. "Half the population of Mexico is poor," Ajegroup spokesman Alfredo Paredes said. Overcoming long-time prejudice...

Nippon Paper-Pak, a Nippon Paper Group company, signed a supply contract with a dairy product manufacturer in Jilin, China, to provide the Fuji-Pak system, its proprietary aseptic packaging system for beverages, to the Chinese company. China and Japan have long time differences stemming from W.W. II that sometimes cause diplomatic tensions.
