A new intermediate bulk container from Meese Orbitron Dunne (Madison, IN) features the patent-pending MOD Out-liner Sump(TM). The standard disposable plastic liner is inserted through a 23"-W opening, with the neck of the liner then pulled trough the sump opening and a chemical-resistant stainless-steel fitting attached to the Out-liner Sump.
ELF Machines (LaPorte, IN) has developed a two-head metered dispensing system suitable for laboratory or pharmaceutical applications. It fills thin and slightly viscous liquids into containers ranging from 0.25 mL to 500 mL.
ACMA/GD (Richmond, VA) has introduced the Volpak VR-200 high-speed vertical form/fill/seal system. Produces pillow-style, side-gusseted and block-bottom pouches for liquid and dry products, including pouches with reclosable zippers and pop-up straws, at speeds to 150/min.
Auger filler more accurately fills 1-qt paperboard cartons containing DriWater, a time-release liquid gel for areas where water is scarce. Greater fill accuracy reduces product and packaging material waste, and labor costs.
