R.A. Jones (Covington, KY) has completed the first of a new series of form/fill/seal machines designed to meet full ISO metric standards. Developed from the company's Pouch King model, the PK4000 has linear web speeds of 100 m (328')/min, and can run at speeds to 1곚 sachets/min, using 80 mm (3.2") wide sachets.

In response to an increased demand for larger stand-up pouches, Klockner Bartelt (Sarasota, FL) has developed a large-format pouch packager. The RPM-L horizontal pouch packager makes stand-up and zippered pouches in sizes 20% larger than the previous model--up to 9.5" x 12", with a 4" gusseted bottom.
