Quaker launches its logo

"This is the way we choose to compete in the value-priced segment." That's how Quaker Oats spokesman Ron Bottrell described the Chicago-based firm's decision to market ready-to-eat breakfast cereals in bags, rather than boxes, bearing the Quaker name and well known logo.

Paducah, KY-based Charles Kari took a minimalist approach for its line of over thirty skin-care products, sold in tanning salons nationwide. Simple graphics, provided by Bill Henderson & Associates (Nashville, TN), are gravure-printed in four colors plus gold-foil stamping onto pressure-sensitive polyethylene film, from an undisclosed supplier.
