Hanson Holdings (Plainview, NY) has developed a patented machine that produces square bottom bags in thicknesses up to 6 mil and 60" W. Produces heavier-weight bags for pet food and industrial products, lighter-weight bags for grocery use.
Sasib's (De Pere, WI) new continuous-motion bagger is designed for dry, free-flowing products. It runs pillow-pouch, fin-seal, or lap-seal- type bags in sizes ranging from 2 1/4" to 13" W, and up to 18" L, at speeds to 120 bags/min.
BRU-Series Advantage Line is a new generation of servo drives from Reliance Motion Control (Eden Prairie, MN). Waldorf (St. Paul, MN) has introduced Chamelacolors(TM), a new graphic enhancement coating for folding cartons that is activated by sunlight. Exposure to sun or black light activates the coating for a timeable color change that can take from 5 to 30 sec.
Topline Products' (Wayne, NJ) round cosmetics pots now come with two new options: a matte finish for opaque pots or a clear jar base. Made of SAN with a removable PP insert that is used for filling at a separate location.
