As part of their Z-Drives platform of plug-in servo drives, ADVANCED Motion Controls’ powerful DZE & DZS series of servo drives for EtherCAT-enabled control networks provide precise motion but at reduced cost when applied in a multiple networked axes system.
Beckhoff Automation’s EL7201 servo terminal for the EtherCAT Terminal system integrates a complete servo drive for motors up to 200 W into a standard 12 mm I/O terminal housing, simplifying cabling and commissioning while reducing cabinet size requirements and costs.
New distributed drive technology reduces cabinet space and wiring and supports modular design of packaging machinery. The remote mounted, IP 65 rated servo drives from B&R combine the benefits of integrated servo motor/drive with additional flexibility, onboard I/O, use of standard motors and extended power range.
Acoposmulti65 from B&R is an on-machine-mounted, IP-67-rated, servo motion controller rated to 4 kilowatts that has connections for servo motor, servo encoder, network cable, and connections to on-board machine I/O.
Shibuya Hoppmann designed a Sports Cap Feed and Capper Assembly System for a major closure manufacturer. The system feeds, orients and assembles spouts and locking caps at an output rate of 200 ppm using an eight-station continuous motion assembly system. Each station had an individual servo motor to precisely torque each cap assembly to preset specifications.
