General MIlls' Yoplait® brand yogurt in 4-oz cups has been switched from four-and eight-count multipack carriers to a six-pack configuration. The change meets a customer need, says Barry Wagoner, public relations manager at the Minneapolis-based company.

Cap Snap (San Jose, CA) has introduced a patented polyethylene reclosable TE cap for yogurt and cultured dairy products. Using Autoprod's heat-form closing technology traditionally used for milk cartons, the cap uses a mechanical external ring with a pull tab for 8-oz dairy containers.
Pace Foods, the San Antonio-based salsa producer, has gotten a lot of mileage out of a series of television commercials emphasizing its Tex-Mex heritage and deriding the competition's product for being made "in New York City?!!" In the same vein, Chi-Chi's, Inc., the Mexican restaurant chain headquartered in Louisville, KY, has an amusing TV commercial for its retail-packed salsa in which the ceo of some unnamed competitor asks his managers whether the company should make salsa or oven mitts.
