Banner Eng.'s (Minneapolis, MN) 1998 catalog of photoelectric sensors is a 700-page book designed for engineers facing sensing problems. Company background, new products and detailed information on photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors and accessories are included.
A 132-page manual from AET Films (New Castle, DE) describes the company's OPP film products. The book is divided into ten sections covering four film types: transparent, metallized, white opaque and label.
Shatter-resistant and lighter than glass, narrow-neck polyethylene terephthalate bottles for hot-filled beverages have enjoyed steady growth lately. But only now is a wide-mouth PET jar for hot-filled food being commercialized as Tree Top Inc.
A new book, SoftLogic: Overcoming Funnel Vision, by Dennis E. Wisnosky, senior VP of Intellution (Norwood, MA), describes the promise of control software running on standard PCs, which it terms SoftLogic.

New York-based record company 32 Records launched its 32 Jazz label this April with a new CD package reminiscent of LP packaging. Company spokesman Joel Dorn cites durability of the package, made of both paperboard and polystyrene, as well as its fully printable paperboard surface, as keys to the company's decision.
