A gussetted flat-bottom bag with a reclosable zipper feature is now being launched nationwide by Green Giant, a division of Minneapolis-based Pillsbury.

Weighing just 8 g and resting on two ‘feet’ instead of a flat bottom, P&G’s single-serve Pringles package is automatically filled and case-packed on custom-built gear.

Assigned the task of creating nostalgic branding and imagery for a new line of cream pies from Mrs. Smith’s, DePersico Creative Group (Havertown, PA) took the traditional, old-fashioned themes specified by the pie baker and created a rich, soda-shoppe-esque package.

Two stand-up pouches, a shrink-sleeve label, and a retro coffee bag boast printing that wowed FPA judges.

The distinctive grandmother-shaped bottle ensures that Aurora Foods’ Mrs. Butterworth’s maple syrup remains a household name. But consumers weren’t associating the brand with other Mrs.
