H.J. Heinz and Pechiney Plastic Packaging combined to win a Printing Gold award from the Flexible Packaging Assn. with a single-serve, stand-up gusseted pouch used for nine Heinz condiments, including ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, jams, and syrup.
Indiana-based Oliver Winery recently hired Flowdesign to redesign two of the labels for its best selling wine products. Both wines use newly designed bottles topped with decorated corks that are seen through the clear glass.
Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice Cocktails will be dressed as Nutcrackers this year for the holiday season, thanks to designers at The Bailey Group. The glass bottles are wrapped from head to toe in a “lively and festive” shrink label.
Late last year, Lewiston, ME-based White Rock Distilleries switched to full-body, shrink-sleeve labels for its 50-mL (far right in photo) line of glass-bottled premixed martinis and vodkas sold at retail and to airlines.
