Box liner films allow 30% downgauging
Stiff, high-barrier FeatherWeight™ box liner films from Bemis allow aggressive downgauging to meet cost and sustainability goals, while maintaining quality machinability and physical properties.

The films allow makers of boxed cereal, baking mixes and other
moisture-sensitive dry foods to use liner film at gauges as low as 1.5
mil. The high-clarity, HDPE-based films offer superior moisture and
oxygen barrier to protect food quality and extend shelf life. Because the films need significantly less material to protect dry
foods, they require less energy to produce and fewer truckloads to ship.
Other cost advantages include a lower price per MSI than traditional
liner films and more footage per roll.
