Biodegradable hybrid cushioning material

HC Renew contains up to 10% recycled content, and features multiple smaller air chambers vs. one larger cushion. Flat, perforated rollstock is mounted onto Pregis’ AirSpeed HC unit, which creates the rows of small air-filled pockets by transferring air into the individual chambers. HC Renew contains no heavy metals or salts, can be transported in high heat, has a longer shelf life than starch-based degradable products, and is tinted green using an organic colorant. It will not begin to biodegrade until it is disposed of in a microbe-rich environment. Complete biodegradation typically occurs within one-to-five years, depending on conditions.
