Ishida Atlas snack bag makers from Heat and Control feature a splice-on-the-fly option that automatically attaches new
bag film to the end of the existing roll without the downtime required for manual film splicing. Automatic splicing is accomplished during operation by using a preloaded reserve film roll, which operators can replace without interrupting bag-making operation. The compact auto-splicing system saves space around the bag maker and features automatic film centering.
