Video: Videojet demonstrates track and trace

From Pack Expo 2008: A presentation by Videojet Technologies highlights features of its new IMprints track-and-trace coding and software solution, as integrated with Omega Design equipment.

Geared to pharmaceutical companies seeking solutions to e-pedigree requirements, as well as to brand owners concerned about the counterfeiting and diversion of their products, the Imprints™ track-and-trace solution was a highlight of Videojet Technologies Pack Expo exhibit.

IMprints, a comprehensive, scalable production-floor suite of hardware and software, includes CodeMaster software that generates unique codes that are printed on product packaging by Vidoejet’s array of variable-data marking and coding equipment. It then maintains transaction data about products as they progress through the supply chain.

Says Bob Neagle, business unit manager, Brand Protection Solutions, for Videojet, “A brand faces many threats today, which can result in costly, negative perception among consumers. IMprints leverages Videojet’s project management expertise and ongoing service to ensure a track-and-trace solution has been prpoperly implemented, instead of the time-intensive costly alternative of purchasing and installing individual components.”

At the show, Neagle demonstrated the solution, as integrated with Omega Design packaging equipment. See the highlights in this video of the presentation.
