Type too small?
The Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Assn. (NDMA) supports FDA's attempt to simplify OTC drug labels but called for greater flexibility in the proposed 6-point type size requirement.
NDMA estimates that over 30% of national OTC brand name products and 95% of store brand packages have small sizes or nontraditional shapes that aren't big enough to permit regulatory copy in 6-point type. Drug manufacturers NDMA said are doing their best to maximize type size without going below 4.5-point type.
