To determine which products qualify for the label Frito-Lay consulted with Dallas health and fitness guru Dr. Kenneth Cooper founder of Cooper Aerobics Center. Dr. Cooper’s guidelines for a 1 oz serving include 150 calories or less less than 35% of calories from fat (usually 5 g or less) less than 7% of calories from saturated fat (usually 1 g or less) 0 g of trans fat and 240 mg or less of sodium. Frito-Lay’s baked line of Lay’s Doritos and Ruffles will bear the icon initially with additional products added later.
