Instrumented Sensor Technology: Shock timer
Instrumented Sensor Technology (Okemos, MI) releases the Shock Timer, an electronic monitor that measures shocks and impacts on the surface of products or shipping containers and records the exact time of impact.
Information can be used as solid documentation to assign liability for excessive handling that causes in-transit damage. Information can also be helpful to determine how or why rough handling took place and lead to corrective measures to reduce damage in the future. Timer has a 4-month battery life and 6-month shock-time stamp retention.
