Design: Sophisticated redesign

Last summer, Geyserville, CA-based Peak Wines Intl., a subsidiary of Jim Beam Brands, redesigned packaging for its Canyon Road line. The angular pressure-sensitive label has an arts-and-crafts almost prairie style-like quality and was intended to deliver a dynamic “California look.” The borders of the c-shaped labels are color coded to represent each varietal in the line. Litho-printed in seven colors the labels lend an image of casual elegance.
