A Coca-Cola milestone
Looking back over the last 20 years worth of stories we’ve published, one can’t help but be struck by how many of those stories are about something that the Coca-Cola Co. did.
Just one such example ran in the March ’95 issue, when we covered Coke’s first plastic contour bottle containing post-consumer recycled content. The 2-L tri-layer format, which incorporated at least 25% post-consumer recycled PET between layers of virgin PET, was sold in Switzerland and was stretch blow molded by Varioform PET Verpackungs of Austria, while the coinjection molded preform came from Continental PET Europe.
